Many people today worship false images and idols. Celebrities are treated like gods, and many people seek wealth, status, and power at any cost. They ignore God and believe they are the creator and center of their own world. When their worldly goods are lost, fame ebbs, and good looks fade, despair often ensues.
If we accept God as our creator and provider, we can lose everything but remain tranquil. We can trust God because we know He cares for us, loves us, and will keep His promises.
Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of His pasture (Psalm 100:3).
This knowledge encourages us to proclaim and celebrate God’s presence through joyful worship, sharing our faith story, and living a life of prayer and service to others. If others see our hearts are focused on God and full of appreciation for His goodness, they will be encouraged to find out more.
Challenge for Today: Does your lifestyle proclaim God’s goodness and the central place He has in your life?
Quicklook: Psalm 100:1–5
