Live Bold, Live Strong
Read Psalms 90:1 through 92:15; Romans 1:1–17
Justin had always brought his Bible to school. Now that he was starting high school, he debated about leaving his Bible at home. Sunday at church, he listened as the pastor shared a message about the Cross. Justin was reminded of the sacrifice of love that Christ exhibited. Justin determined right there in his heart that he was never going to be ashamed about his faith, or the God he loved so much.
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile (Romans 1:16).
Have you ever been ashamed of the gospel of Christ? Have you ever kept quiet because of what someone might say or do? Take time to reflect on how Christ stood up for us all, and how He went to the cross of suffering and shame to forgive us of our sins. God has given us a great opportunity to share His message. Never let the spirit of shame or fear take hold of your heart. Take aim to proclaim and give no room for shame.
Challenge for Today: Carry your Bible everywhere you go. Be prepared to answer the questions that may result.
