Good Friday + Easter

Lord God and Savior:

We are grateful for your sacrifice Lord, and humbled by how you lived your life and are the way, the truth, and the path. You are a warrior for peace, love, and all that is good. Through you we experience all that is good, holy, and joyous. You fought for us, bled for us, and it is our duty to invite you into all of our actions, thoughts, and all that we embark upon daily. It is our role to advocate your word, be a soldier for your cause, and ambassador of the charity and compassion through all we represent. In your walk we discover repentance, and this cannot be achieved without respecting all you have done, and taking daily action with where you have us be of purpose for your will versus our own.

Thank you for your blessings, I pray you are a part of all of our journeys with conscious intent, and we appreciate where you are wrapping your arms around our lives and leading us to your prosperity. I pray that I have the strength to deliver all that is good by way of thought, words, and actions. I know I will misstep, may not always understand, experience animosity and friction, have trials and challenges, make a mistake, and am imperfect - but when those times arrive, I invite you to direct me in the light of your path instead of the world's distracting temptations. We will falter, please pick us up, whisper in our ear, speak to our heart, and bring the right people into our lives to live as you have us be. I pray you eliminate all that is evil and unjust from my and others lives.

On this Good Friday, we celebrate what you represent, how you love us, and the example of how you showed us to live our lives. The pain and sacrifice you endured for us is unfathomable to us humans, but you did that for us. Saying thank you is such a small token of gratitude for such an abundant sentiment of all you are. I pray we all stop, listen, and guide our hearts with strong action of all that you stand for in our lives. May we all be in the least a minute fraction of your bold courageousness, and allow you to consume our hearts with your meaning.

In a world that is broken, we continue to be empty if you are dismissed. You are the light of redemption, restoration, and rebuilding. You fill our cups, and I pray that you enter our families, communities, schools, businesses, cities, and lives. May we understand and recall all that you are not only during Easter, but everyday.

In His grip with humble grace,
Brian Siegel

Passage Isaiah 53 :

1. Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

2. For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

11. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

JESUS said; John 10:10-11

10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 .I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

May you and your family have a joyous and blessed Easter Season!
