Gold Rush or Genuineness
Purpose, Priorities, and Pursuit
When I say to you, "1849", what arrives to mind? The "Gold Rush", right? People were chasing 'gold', pursuing greed, chasing dreams, sacrificing it all, and more often than none, ended up risking their lives, time, families, and dreams to die in pursuit of worldly desires. Was it about the gold? Was gold their "mountain of elephants"? Did they do wrong by seeking a journey towards gold, paved with wild adventures of travel to paradise, laced with dreams of what they would get if they found gold nuggets mining?
What happened is the simple mention of "Gold" or money traveled so fast, that people didn't need "facebook" or other social media, as the message of gaining your "Eden" by digging up some earth spread more wild than the journey it would take them towards to unearth gems. In effect, California and the lands in between the East ended up developing, growing, and becoming populated, which I am certain was not the intentions of would be gold barons. In life, sometimes our desires are not what are intended for us. Not everyone during the gold rush of 1849 was going to become a rich and successful person, but the desire to do so inspired drastic risk, often times without measure. Still today we pursue the "Gold Rush", just in various forms.
We must have the up to date electronics, clothes, cars, homes, and more. I know more people now that just need a job during this challenging economy, that during that journey, they have realized how important it is to gather, invest in, and connect with people vs. "gold nuggets" to fulfill immediate desire. Are these really "must haves", or do we desire more?
What are you "mining/digging" for?Live unselfishly, yet within boundaries you will not become 'consumed' yourself, over promise and under deliver, but are available, open, and willing to be of value and service where you realistically and kindly can be! This is your "golden treasure", and sure way of the less than "secret", yet difficult thing to learn, which is being people driven, genuinely caring, and of service to others. This doesn't bring quick success you will see immediately, or riches financially right away.
I have seen where relationships open the door to opportunities, partnerships, and significant success vs. mere pursuit of self satisfaction and greed, allowing for long term residual engagement, which is success in itself, with significance!
Are you chasing gold, glory, or genuinness?
